Grant is a trombonist who has been playing for the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, and is about to head back to New Zealand for a few months. I wanted to shoot something with a blacked out background, but didn't quite have the space, so I changed plan and used the corner of the space in which I was working – the brickwork and algae came out rather well in the end.
